Hi All

I wish to advise that New Zealand Post will no longer accept the old style IRC's. They will now only accept the larger type with the bar code on the reverse side..

This is a policy decision made by New Zealand Post effective 31 Decemebr 2004.

To all those who still require QSL cards from any New Zealand based station or New Zealand QSL manager, please send the NEW IRC's which have the expiry date of 31.12.2006 on them.

Would you please pass this message on to your ham radio clubs, local ham radio newsletters, your packet clusters, branch radio broadcasts etc etc etc..

We would like to get the message through to the majority of DXers world wide and any help in achieving this would be greatly appreciated.

Please note that for the ZL8RI Dxpedition in 1996, the ZL9CI Dxpedition in 1999 and the ZL7C Dxpedition to the Chatham Islands in 2002, the above information becomes effective immediately. All cards receieved which have been postmarked after todays date WILL be replied via the bureau if the OLD style IRC's are sent with direct QSL card requests. The same applies for cards sent to ZL2HU, ZL4HU and ZK1KH.

We sincerely appologise for any problems this may cause but this situation is well beyond our control.

I would like to remind you all once again that the above decision has been made by New Zealand Post Ltd and I am only to willing to answer any questions directly and not via any reflectors, clusters etc.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

All the very best and good DXing

Ken Holdom ZL4HU also ZL2HU and ZK1KH
