[Dx-qsl] Return address on QSL's mailed

Alan, let me add a few things to this, after thinking about it a bit more

1. Remember...it is the QSL that YOU need that is in the envelope. Thus, I think it's to the person's benefit that is sending the QSL to make sure the card will have the best chance to make it back to the person that sent it. Thus, do whatever you can to make it likely to return.

2. If the ink smears, or the label falls off, DO NOT expect the QSL manager to cover your miscue by putting a return address on. Test your labels. Check the ink you use, by wetting your finger and attempting the 'smear test'. If it smears/falls off, you take your chances....

3. Also, check your 'self stick' envelopes. I have to tell you, I LOVE these things, as it saves me a step to some extent. However, a good number of the ones I see do not seem to have enough 'stick' to them. I try to tape them, but I'm sure I miss them. If you get a self stick envelope back open, and with QSLs missing, think about the envelopes yhou're sending. If you see tape on the back of them, consider changing vendors of the envelopes you use!!!

>I'm wondering if anyone has noticed a trend among some QSL mangers not

>We send a QSL manager a SAE or SASE with our address stamped on it to
>get the QSL back to us. But I noticed most QSL managers don't stamp
>their return address on the envelope we provide. This is fine UNLESS
>for some reason our address can't be read because of being smudged or
>if using a label, the label gets torn off. then what happens? With
>no return address the envelope goes to the dead letter file and is
>lost forever. The person who sent the SASE/SAE doesn't get his card,

>Anyway, I wonder what the QSL mgrs in the group have for suggestions
