Even if it didn't print cards but just issued an official verifiable
document confirming the QSO I would be happy with that. I have several
IOTA's confirmed only in LOTW and are therefor not usable in the current
IOTA program. There have been the rumors that IOTA might eventually
work with LOTW but one glaring problem is the requirement for the island
name. One example that comes to mind is a contact I have with EA4DX/HK0
on NA-049 (Providencia Island). The DXCC entity is listed as San Adres
Island in LOTW but nowhere is the island name listed other than as
NA-049. So either the RSGB is going to have to accept just the IOTA
number or LOTW is going to have to be retrofitted to accept the actual
island name.

Still it would be nice to be able to pay the ARRL to issue a signed
document confirming selected QSO's which could then be sent to any
awards manager as proof of a contact just like a QSL card.

I should note that I have the IOTA number NA-026 defined in my LOTW
profile so any contacts I log from here are tagged with NA-026.
However, nowhere is it indicated that I am on Long Island and not one of
the smaller islands such as Fire, Plum, Governors, etc.
