I agree with you Fred,

I like to look at the QSL cards and add them to my collection. That to
me is the best part of a QSO is getting a card from a far away place.
This is real true at my school club as the students see where we have
talked to and it is a real person not just some voice over the air.

Ernie seems to forget that many of us are QSL card collectors more than
just awards chasers.  We really do want to have and keep the QSLs, a
fine tradition of the Amateur Radio service.  Therefore we don't want to
provide the people who we work an alternative way of getting a
confirmation from us.
