[Dx-qsl] Rec'd: HK3CQ

Peter,

The US $ 2 required from HK3CQ, a class act ham- BTW, is just a part of the
payment from the mail drop to send the mail into HK and hand delivered to
his doorstep. Otherwise he will never get the qsl. Would you prefer a 1
 dollar request and get nothing?

Unfortunately if you send the request to HK directly it will get pilfered
and probably you will never get a QSL. The 37 stamp yes ...but how much do
you think it costs to send the qsl through this service to the States again
and have them put it in the US mail system?
I guess in that perspective you only paid 1 extra dollar for your qsl
(roughly). When looked at in another way, I'd say HK3CQ as many other HK's
with a mail drop are only contributing to the good name of our country and
to the ham spirit. I guess if we add up the costs of all that S&H, your QSL
would have cost more.. so the way I see it Mr. CQ is sponsoring a bit of
your qsl from his own pocket.
