Dennis, 

I agree with you on that point.  I usually get a Buro
shipment every two months.  Since other posts here
indicate people have rcvd their QSL from an OQRS
response, I become concerned that perhaps mine got
lost in the shuffle.  If so, then I expect I will
follow up with a request via direct mail.

My impression was that the OQRS system was designed to
help expedite the process a little.  I'm just trying
to determine if my request fell thru the cracks and if
indeed I should follow up direct.

Oddly enough, I just received a QSL that I requested
**DIRECT** only ======= 12 years ago ======= !!  Seems
it got misplaced somehow, but was finally answered. 
And then there are the direct requests that have
**NEVER** been answered, even 15 years later.  So the
direct request method has some flaws too.  But
overall, both methods work well, given sufficient time.
