I think Pathfinder might search for the first letter in a call???
Don't know as I never used it.

DJ4PT was S79PT as far as I know, and that was in 1995.
I have never heard of S79PDL

and I'm convinced that VQ9P, who is now KL7HSY, changed
to S79P sometime around 1977.
