Hi again Alan,
well that's a good question and not easy to answer clearly. May be nothing
happens,
as I assume. My postman put a letter in my mailbox last week without any
stamp!
Normaly, I have to pay the postage for the letter if I want it.
All I can offer is, to ask my local post office next week. I'm very
interested what they
will tell me, hi. If I don't get a satisfying answer, I will send an email
to the german postal
headquarter. Do not know who long it will take to get an answer from there.
But I will surely
drop you a line about this. So please wait until Monday when I had asked my
local post
office at first.
Have a nice weekend and vy 73
Andreas

Hello again Andreas,
Thanks for your info.
So now I have to wonder, if a German Ham/SWL had purchased a number of
1.53 Euro stamps in advance (like I did) are they now worthless? I
suspect maybe you have to go to the Post Office and they will collect
the extra postage and then use a meter to add the additional .02 Euro.
But what about someone like me who purchased the stamps with the
idea of using them for return SASE in my QSL mailings to Germany?
