it happens occasionally here. i throw them in envelopes and off they go with
a note. i also try to contact the stations via email to see if they
REALLLLLLy want the card. i've found that many of the receiving stations are 'babes
in the DX woods' that don't know an IRC from an SAE and didn't send return
postage because they didn't know they should. that was time for the ole dxer to
hold class. i emailed one guy back and forth for about 4 hours one saturday
because he had question after question. not just about qsling but about
working split, breaking pileups and a lot of the things a lot of us take for
granted. at the end, he heartily thanked me. do you think i felt good wasting all
that time? darn straight, i did. and i've heard that young whippersnapper in a
couple of pileups since. seems to be doing pretty good too.
back on the subject, may i also suggest that when you receive cards for
someone else, that it be posted here on the reflector. not in an accusatory way,
but just stating fact. i know i'd have an sase off to you in a sec, if you're
holding one of the nine i need for dxcc on 12 meters!
