Folks,


This is to let you know that effective Jan.17 05 there will 
be postal increase for International rates in Canada. This 
is not big increase (5 c per letter), but still to remind you
that 1$ is not enough to cover international mail at 
exchange rate 1.18$ CDN for 1$ US.

Domestic Lettermail and USA and International Letter-post

Domestic Lettermail

The basic domestic letter rate (0 - 30g) is proposed to increase 
by one cent,  from $0.49 to $0.50 on January 17, 2005, based on 
the Price Cap Formula.

Registered Mail and Advice of Receipt (Signature Copy)
Effective January 17, 2005, the Registered Mail and Advice 
of Receipt (Signature Copy) rates are proposed to increase 
by twenty-five cents ($0.25), from $6.00 to $6.25 for Registered 
Mail and from the current rate of $7.00 to $7.25 for 
Advice of Receipt (Signature Copy).

USA Letter-post and International Letter-post
The proposed price increase for basic USA Letter-post is from 
$0.80 to $0.85 and for basic International Letter-post from
$1.40 to $1.45.
