A total of 263 items were posted today in response to direct requests. Almost
all of these items were received last year & it looks like the last were
received
around Nov 2002. I thought I had more outstanding cards in the queue from
before I moved flat, but these could very well be all of them, though I'm
not sure.

Cards received after the move will be dealt with once these old cards are done.
Until I am caught up again, I have been listing the calls of these recent
requests
at: http://home.pacific.net.hk/~vr2bg/qsl.html

Of the 263 items, 202 were for a large North American country, of which 25 I
had to add the name of that country to the address. I probably have an equal
number of naff envelopes from that particular country, requiring my
breaking out
the glue after two attempts at wetting the adhesive fails. That makes a
total of
about one-fifth of all cards requiring additional work - the QSLing
equivalent of
calling out of turn in a pile up, calling with two letters instead of your
full call, or
blatantly bad tail ending... but unlike operating, when doing cards I
can't decide
to answer some other bloke who drops his call in such a way that it doesn't
blow
my rate. Maybe I should just start sending such envelopes back the way
they are?

After a final search of the store room, those recently arrived cards will
go out -
probably between CQ WW RTTY & CQ WW SSB.
