The Air Force has been/and will continue to fly mail there. I have hauled
many a bag to APO's. I'm now retired, but I was recently in contact with
the Air Terminal Manager at Charleston AFB (on another mail related matter)
and they continue to deliver mail. Contract carriers also fly some mail
overseas.
