[Dx-qsl] 4X6TT

My 4X6TT/N2AU story is "slightly" different.

I sent a first card through the bureau shortly after working 4X6TT in July
1996. Sent him a second one more than a year later. As long as I lived in
ON-land I was both incoming and outgoing sorter, so I know what kind or
turnaround I can expect. No big deal.

On New Year's day 2001 I still hadn't received anything, so I sent him an
E-mail. He acknowledged that, and on Jan 3, 2001 my direct card went to him
(from Europe). SAE, greenstamp, the works. This time I'm going to get it,
right?

Wrong. After a long time of being very patient, I sent him a second E-mail
on October 7, 2002. That E-mail was acknowledged two days later; asking me
about all the details of the QSO and that he would send the card himself
this time. Great, it's finally going to arrive!

Wrong again... Another 4 months later and I haven't seen anything from N2AU.
So I thought if he can't afford to send me a card I'll just pay for it
myself, again. Which I did, on Jan 30 of this year. SASE, and a new IRC,
from right here in the USA.

Do you think I got my card this time? Yeah, right...

Art's been ill for a very long time, that's nothing new. I hear several
people have offered to help him, but he refuses their help. In a way, I can
understand that. But in the meantime a whole lot of people's money is being
wasted, and they'll probably never get their card...

Good luck all, you're going to need it. 73,

Gert - K5WW (ON4CBJ at the time, with only one 4X station on 20 in the log,
that I REALLY would like to have confirmed!)

Got response from N2AU and he did not mention being ill which
is not good. At my age I can sympathize. Still can't quite figure out
why they call it the GOLDEN YEARS. :) :)

Art said card will go out very soon. Thanks everybody that responded
and best 73 and DX.
