[Dx-qsl] Ham spirit - bureau

Hi Rag... I have no problem with buro QSL's as long as they aren't
duplicated 3-4 times !!! I have rec'd any number of cards from any
number of countries numerous times for QSO's with Dave Heil from any
number of QTH's. I reply 100% to direct QSL's, unless proper postage
isn't given. A first class stamp unfortunately doesn't get it any more
for overseas hams. For all of those that have forwarded $$, the buro
QSL's have eaten that up PLUS a bunch. To reduce those costs, if you
have rec'd a prior QSL, and I am answering a dupe buro QSL.....it's
canned! If I see a prior QSL on a direct QSL with appropriate return
postage, you get the QSL direct.

I've tracked the J52US QSL's from the late 80's, ....it wasn't a pretty
picture !!! I have 3 and 5 QSL's via the buros per QSO, not counting
direct cards for Dave's other stations accounts. I've ALWAYS answered
QSL's direct, and via the buro. Dave's now in retirement in WV. His
coffers, and mine are both depleted somewhat. No manager minds processing
QSL's (however, keep the cost to them sensible!!) If it gets out of
control, no additional funds are coming in to them , so what suffers or
gets cut off .....BURO QSLS !!!

Just an FYI from my viewpoint....
