[Dx-qsl] soaking stamps and IRCs

       Another angle is this:-

I don't know if there are as many small post offices across the water
as there are here in the U.K., but after twenty years or so
experience of buying and occasionally exchanging IRC's, I have come
       to the following conclusion:-

       1. Ninety per cent of post office clerks don't know anything
about IRCs, and the other ten percent regard them as a
       nuisance.

       2. Employees of post offices which are part of a chain, or
owned by the big multiples, are overworked, underpaid,
disinterested, badly trained and often just plain rude.

       3. Find yourself a small post-office run by a friendly couple who are
nice to their customers and running their own business and
you will have no problems, with IRC's or anything else.

       4. If you get the brush-off or bad service anywhere else, do you
you go back to the same shop again?

       5. Stop having an inferiority complex about this IRC business.

       Have a nice day.
