Gentlemen and Ladies,

Today I received an unusually large number of messages for this reflector
that were bounced as being from address not subscribed to the list. Our
server software, Mailman, sent out the appropriate messages with an
explanation and suggestions for possible causes and remedies.

If you are reading this, and you still got such a rejection notice, it is
probably because you are actually subscribed under an email address other
than the one from which you were trying to post. This is the most common
scenario, at least.

The remedy is, of course, to subscribe directly from the address from which
you also send messages. For some alias addresses, that are receive only,
this presents a problem. So, in general, it is best not to use them and
stick with primary addresses only. If, for some overriding reason, you
need to use one or need to have more than one address, then you can
subscribe each on, and then use the "no mail" setting for addresses under
which you do not wish to receive messages. It will still remain a valid
address for posting.

If you truly need help with any of this, please contact me directly, and
I'll be glad to do so.
