[Dx-qsl] MD4K route for HF contacts

According to qslinfo.de (via pathfinder), GD0TEP is now suggesting that
G4XUM be contacted for HF QSL Info -- not just for CQ WW but for the RSGB
IOTA contest earlier this year too.

I also dug up via Google a message on the UK Contest reflector (repeated on
the Yahoo! IOTA Reflector) announcing the MD4K operation for the IOTA
contest (from the "BlankA Group") from G3NKC ([email protected]). No
mention of the QSL manager there, but you might try asking Dave if he knows.
Sounds like it was almost the exact same ops as the CQ WW crew (G1GUI,
G3NKC, G4MJS, G4TSH, G4XUM, and GD4GNH for the IOTA)

Hope this helps!

Subject: [Dx-qsl] MD4K route for HF contacts

Hi,

OK, this nut's a little tougher to crack. MD4K, a contest call from the
Isle of Man. Worked them for two new band/modes this weekend but it looks
like the QSL route is a little muddy here.

Various sources list GD0TEP as the route for VHF and UHF only, however the
425 list shows him as the manager for CQWW-SSB as well. They were wrong. I
e-mailed GD0TE and received the following reply:

>Hi Peter,
>
>I can deal with any VHF and up QSL for MD4K, as I can for all the other
>calls I manage. If you need one for HF then I suggest you contact one of
>the operators that used the call over the previous weekend.
>
>MD4K is a variation on the call GD0EMG. People using the call over the
>weekend in question are: G4XUM, G4MJS, G0HSS, G1GEY, M0BEW and G3NKC

I will attempt to contact one or two of the above and hopefully get the
definitive answer, which I shall post here. Meanwhile, if anybody knows for
sure, I'd appreciate a heads-up.

Thanks.
