Dear Larry,
I'm sorry I have not written for a few days.  Carl is comfortable, but not awake a lot.  I
go see him every day.  I want you to know how much his children and I appreciate the cards
that have come.  There was a problem getting the mail started and when they got them
today, there were a whole stack of good wishes and love from the Ham operators.  His
daughter, Amy, was very touched.  You are a wonderful group of people.  I read many of
them to him and the kids will continue when he is awake.  His sister and brother in law
have come to town also, so everyone close is here.

Other than that, there is not much to report.  He is getting wonderful care from hospice.
Yesterday the chaplain came.
