       Try it this way:-

       Sorting time outgoing cards at buro                             2
       Sorting time incoming cards at buro                            6
       (RSGB buro currently 6 months in hand)
       Dispatch to and from sub-manager                              2
       Postal time lags

       So one year out if op originates the card; two years if he just
       answers the ones he gets.

       When I started in this game in 1983, when activity was much
       greater, there was a one-year turnround, except for Box 88.
       Now it is getting close to three years, and I am wondering if
       I will still be alive when I get replies to the cards I send out 
today.

       I was on the air from HS in November 2000.
       Received this week sixty request cards for that operation.
       Four year turnround? It's getting worse.
       
       Phil (Mr. President,  Sir) (FOC for the uninitiated) - what has
       gone wrong? They say QSLs are becoming a thing of the past.
       More likely, they are a thing of the future.
