You mean the Portuguese National Comunications Authority giving
away CR8, (a former colonial prefix), to East-Timor, thats a strange
idea... but everything is possible, I don't think the East-Timor Gov. will
want

The most probable is that 4W will transit from UNTAET to the Democratic
Republic of East-Timor as thats the actual prefix for all comercial and
Military
radio operations there (remember HAM radio is only 4W6 [portable operations
excluded]) so that will be the easiest thing to do in the operational
point-of-view.
Remember 4W seems to be a kind of a "jumpy" prefix, it never belonged to the
UN
as an officially prefix, it belonged to Yemen before it was issued to the
UN.
All scenarios are valid and we have to wait and see.
