Its really quite simple. Of all the countries in which I have lived or
traveled, the American Express Money Order has been king. I have never had
one turned down, even in some really small villages in the back of nowhere, as
long as there is a bank or money exchange present.
Most capitals have their own AMX bank wich handles foreign exchange.
Very few have, but that is irrelevant. Any internationally recognised bank can
issue a Cashiers Cheque, which will be accepted. The bank charges are
relatively high, so it does not make sense to send small amount.
The best thing is to let your local club collect the money and make a single
transfer .
An alternative is socalled SWIFT transfer, which is faster and safer. This
is an interbank world wide system.
You may consider making the payment in the currency of the destination.
