One point of interest, if the older IRCs will be possibly not redeemable, how will that work given that many IRCs either have no postmark (allowable per the marking on the IRC, except that in the US the issuing PO 'must' stamp them)...I have several hundred unmarked IRCS without any date postmark.
THey may completely go away from the old IRC, as they did in 1975 with the 'OLD old' IRC, and completely revamp the design (which they've done with the 'new' irc.
My guess is the latter will happen someday. However, as you are close to the source, I'd appreciate if you hear anything, and as always, glad to see your posts as you're closer to it than most of us!
