I don't disagree...but..the pressure that is being encountered by the
stations on the "split" frequencies to get that "new one" are HUGE.  It's
a hobby, but one where the owner of ALL the QSL's from counters qualifies
for a VERY nice plaque!

Competition is THE whole basis of the pile-up!  You only have one winner
per call!  From CY�AA I heard these same comments..."whose
paying"..."only NA gets worked"...."wrong frequencies for us".... with
policemen you CANNOT win any of these arguements...they WILL NOT listen
to reason...so...go ahead and work who you can work, and let the
complainers organize their own expeditions to "right our wrongs".

My congratulations to the VP6DI team for the efforts to find the
licensing, getting there, and QSL'ing to the fortunate ones that QSO the
station.  There will be more activity there, as there ALWAYS is, so just
be patient. (I still need P5 also!)

The tuner-uppers are a by-product of the "appliance market".  They don't
even understand that tuning up, or "peaking" on the DX's frequency will
not be where they transmit in a few minutes due to "splits".  Experience,
and some "Elmering" from locals who know what they did, sometimes helps
cure this.  Experience is a GREAT teacher, LISTENING is a GREAT TOOL to
DX'ing.

Enough....

Enjoy the hobby, pursuit, and hopefully the capture of your DX prey...if
not...there's always tomorrow, and another expedition.
