if you worked an 'old' OK(czechoslovakia) plus a 'new' OK (czech 
replublic)and an OM (slovak republic), you would have one deleted entity and 
2 current for a total of 3.  similar story with the germanys (but 2 deleted 
and 1 current for total of 3).  note that deleted countries count in your 
grand total but do not count toward HONOR ROLL or DXCC CHALLENGE.  if you 
ever see the honor roll listing you will notice that the listings are by rank 
of "current" entities with notation of total confirmed.  example: i have 331 
current (my honor roll standing) but 350 total (19 deleted).
