I'm in same situation as you Jim, having been active since 1954. I use the
2 drawer side by side and stackable metal files available from Staples,
Office Depot and Office Max. I have 3 brands intermixed - Steelmaster, CWS
and Flash Filing, all fit one another. They are 6 h x 14 w x 16 deep.
Bought one of the white prefab drawers from Home Depot and have my drawer
units on top of it (all 10 units (20 drawers). These hold the larger QSL
cards that come from a lot of the hams (like the new commercial post cards).
These folks also carry the heavy duty tab dividers. I use the prefab drawer
for those awful 8-1/2 x 11 QSL's I get now and then and other odds and ends.
Painted the cabinets to fit the decor of the ham shack walls (XYL's edict).
Not the least expensive way but dang sturdy.
