Hi All,
The Society of Newfoundland Radio Amateurs (SONRA) would like to thank
everyone who made contact with our special event station VO1S and for
helping us celebrate the 100th anniversary of Marconi's tranatlantic signal
reception. Throughout the month of December we made roughly 5000 contacts,
giving these amateurs the opportunity to work the site where that famous
signal was received.
QSLs are now being designed and produced and should be available by
mid-February. Direct requests for cards will be handled first and until
March 31, 2002 when all remaining cards will be sent via the bureau.
SPECIAL NOTE: Contacts on December 12 2001 ONLY are also eligible for a
commemorative certificate. These are available by direct request only
accompanied by sufficient return postage. We will provide the necessary
envelopes.
The address for direct QSL and certificate requests is:
VO1S
Box 23099
St. John's, NF A1B 4J9
Canada
For more information, check our web page at http://sonra.ca.
Season's Greetings from the Executive and membership of SONRA.
