[Dx-qsl] VK9FH oldie

Recently, I happened to see a VK9FH QSL card in the "Hamgallery" site:

I worked Fred while I held the call K4HBJ and have been trying to cfm this
one for years (12 Mar 73 15 SB 2234 utc).  I tried various managers that had
been listed (W0KHI, K0VVW were two that were in my old log), with never any
response.  I was saddened to see from the QSL Gallery site that Fred was now
a silent key.

There are only two countries/entities that I have not been able to cfm over
the years: FQ8AP (1958) and VK9FH (which, by the way, is in my log as New
Guinea Territory, not Papua Territory - a separate entity. Perhaps someone
has more info on this as well??).  I finally gave up on both some years ago,
but the sight of the VK9FH card stimulated me to try once more, using some
of the mass communication technology now available (eg, the list!) ... does
anyone know if someone still has Fred's logs?
