What I do with the DX4WIN logging program is keep it in the log, but leave the
prefix field blank. That way, I can pull up the contact but it won't count in
the totals, which can cause confusion when checking band totals. I prefer to
keep these contacts logged for possible reference at a later date. Say someone
asks 2 years from now about the status of a station you have logged as a pirate
or 6 Oscar or 7 Oscar suddenly has the blessing of DXCC, this information comes
in handy.
