I sent my D68C cards to Phil in nested airmail envelopes, with British stamps on the return envelope (BEFORE I learned that the standard handling of these cards was to carry them across the pond and mail them in the US). I put one unit of postage on the envelope and enclosed enough additional stamps for additional weight.
I received my cards in fine shape earlier this week, with just one corner torn off the envelope (and a reminder inside that I should insert the enclosed envelope upside down).
The envelopes were the normal weight airmail types I get from Bill Plum, and the return envelope survived the system with 5 of the 4-sided cards enclosed.
Hope this helps.
