I personally have nothing against F6FNU as a manager, or as a person, but
I'm hearing such a diverse response regarding his QSL manager activities
that I must say that the ONLY way to diffuse an abusive manager
problem(if he is indeed such an individual) is to go to the stations
being managed with complaints, not to the whole amateur community. What
are we going to do...vote him out ???

This has been a continuing bone of contention for YEARS. If you don't go
to the DX source, someone had better figure a way to get the logs away
from him, or get copies for the MANY, MANY stations that he handles.
What drives DX stations to him for QSL managing?....I don't know, but if
he decided to have an open fire in his back yard there would be much
"wailing" from unconfirmed rare ones throughout the world.

I handle Dave Heil's QSL's because he has asked me to, and because he is
my friend, and always will be. I have backups in the event that my XYL
can no longer take the long contest weekends, and does away with me, as
should all managers. Joanie and Jerry had a backup (THANK GOD!)...etc...
Mine isn't a business undertaking, and the VAST MAJORITY of managers are
the same way. If you can work another DX station, with another manager,
that's what I'd do if you can bypass this situation. If not....then deal
with what the situation requires.

I don't have an answer to such a problem. The only thing we can do is
try to encourage DX stations to be sensitive to critiques of those
requesting the cards,
and work/support the ones that do.

Just my dime......
