Recently a German qsl manager emailed me asking if the $2 bill I sent was a
joke.

I never thought that someone may not be aware that US currency does indeed
include a 2 Dollar Bill.

As 1 GS is not sufficient for return postage in many countries I've started
asking for them at the bank.

Just for the worlds edification, a US $2 bill is called Race Track money,
and is common at the Horse Racing tracks as it's the minimum bet.
But it is not that commonly seen in circulation.

But I assure you that a US $2 bill is legal tender.
It has the picture of Thomas Jefferson, the 2nd president of the United
States, hence the connection with 2.
