Folks, do the math.
I think the VP6DI team made 80K qsos. I don't know how many unique calls they have, but lets assume that generated 20,000 envelopes to Garth.
You have to OPEN 20K envelopes, deal with the QSO confirmation, put the cards in the envelopes, put postage, stuffers, etc. in the envelope and post them.
I think someone had an analysis on a web site on this. Lets say 2 minutes per envelope. THAT IS VERY agressive. Try doing it yourself, or come visit me.....I'll let you try for a few minutes.
That's 30 envelopes per hour. Thats 240 in an 8 hour day. That's 1680 a week. and on and on and on.
ANyone want a full time job as a QSL manager? Thats would it would take to have a chance to have them all posted by now. I'm not aware of any one doing this as a full time job.
It's going to take some time.
I'm in a similar situation with PW0T..although I probably haven't gotten the demand that an all time new one did. But I have YA5T on top of that, along with the others. I know, I read the clusters, where it reported that KU9C has taken on too much, and is too slow. Thankfully, most folks respect the work that QSL managers do...and have some patience.
PATIENCE folks.......at some point, the word will go out that all have been processed. THEN START SWEATING...but not before.
