Message-ID: <55C3CD03.1060309@myfairpoint.net> I have a working DSP-10, with the most recent version of SW installed on an IBM Thinkpad 380cs, plus the external amplifier, all working, all sitting unloved and unused in a cabinet. I'd like to get it all into the hands of someone with the time and desire to properly use this wonderful radio. I have no idea what it's all worth these days, but am open to offers. Please respond directly, w1icw at nospam.myfairpoint.net (remove the nospam) Thanks for your time and VY 73, Bob W1ICW --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus From 73w3sz at gmail.com Thu Aug 6 17:56:52 2015 From: 73w3sz at gmail.com (Roger Rehr) Date: Thu, 06 Aug 2015 17:56:52 -0400 Subject: [DSP-10] Anyone looking? I have 1 working unit that I built right after the QST articles came out and 2 or 3 complete unbuilt kits and 4 or 5 EZKIT Lites that I am planning to sell when the time is right. So I am interested in knowing what the market will bear :) Cliff Chism cliff_chism at concharty.com had an unbuilt DSP-10 kit for sale in January of this year so you might touch base with him and see what he got for his. I am not sure if an unbuilt kit would be worth more or less than a built unit. I guess it depends on the particular buyer and the particular seller [or builder]. Also, at that time Ron Kolarik replied to the list as follows: ----------------------------------- I recently sold my unbuilt DSP-10 kit for $250. It was the TAPR DSP-10 kit, EZ-lite DSP and the 8 watt brickette kit. I sold it without the EZ-lite DSP board for $100 less than I was asking. That's about what I had in the parts and you can adjust your prices accordingly. ---------------------------------- Also, in May of last year Courtney Duncan posted this to the list: --------------------------------- I've used and enjoyed my original DSP-10 for over a decade now and plan to keep on doing so for the foreseeable future. But, my plan to build a second one, a TAPR DSPx kit, have changed, so my DSP-10 #2 kit is for sale. I originally paid TAPR: $299 DSP-10 $ 99 KK7P ADSP2185N board (DSPx) $ 39 KDSP-10 Interface Board by KK7P $437 total for all this. Today I'll take $275 for it all, as is, and ship it at my expense in the US. I just opened the box for the first time since buying it in 2006 and found: All the parts for the DSP-10 Boards Board material for the enclosure Hammond enclosure cables, connectors, etc. DSPx and KDSP-10 kits --------------------------------- Hope the above is helpful, Bob! Anyway, Bob, good luck and if you remember to let me know what you get, I'd be most appreciative. 73, Roger Rehr W3sZ On 8/6/2015 5:09 PM, Bob DeVarney W1ICW wrote: > I have a working DSP-10, with the most recent version of SW installed > on an IBM Thinkpad 380cs, plus the external amplifier, all working, > all sitting unloved and unused in a cabinet. > > I'd like to get it all into the hands of someone with the time and > desire to properly use this wonderful radio. > > I have no idea what it's all worth these days, but am open to offers. > > Please respond directly, w1icw at nospam.myfairpoint.net (remove the nospam) > > Thanks for your time and VY 73, > > Bob W1ICW > > --- > This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. > https://www.avast.com/antivirus > > ______________________________________________________________ > DSP-10 mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dsp-10 > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:DSP-10 at mailman.qth.net > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html From Lowska at comcast.net Thu Aug 6 23:31:53 2015 From: Lowska at comcast.net (Eric) Date: Thu, 6 Aug 2015 21:31:53 -0600 Subject: [DSP-10] Anyone looking? Its now clear that I won't live long enough to complete all of my projects [not that I am about to die...just way too many projects], and so I am starting to clean things out. I therefore have for sale, if the price is right, the following: Analog Devices ADDS-21XX-EZLITE P/N 35-000286-01 Still in original shrinkwrap, never opened, New in Box Analog Devices ADDS-21XX-EZLITE P/N 35-000286-01 Shrinkwrap opened to look at contents, never used, New in Box Analog Devices ADDS-21XX-EZLITE P/N 35-000286-01 Still in original sealed static protective wrapping from Newark, New in Box Original TAPR DSP-10 kit with Hammond enclosure, never built. Original TAPR DSP-10 kit with Hammond enclosure, never built. The TAPR kits did not come with an EZKitLite, so to complete the kit you would also need one of the ADDS-21XX-EZLITE devices that I listed first, or equivalent. At this point I am not selling my built DSP-10. If you are potentially interested in any of the above, please contact me. If there is no serious interest, these will remain in [climate-controlled] storage. 73, Roger Rehr W3SZ On 8/11/2015 8:16 AM, Frances Mercer wrote: > interested in the unit is it still available? > Thanks > Connie NG4C > > On Thu, Aug 6, 2015 at 11:31 PM, Eric wrote: > >> I'm a fairly new HAM looking to get started. The original offer still stands that if you run into problems getting the main board to work, you can send it to me and I will test it in the fixture. That gives me full access to the board for measurements. Also, it is easy to measure the performance as the test fixture has a EZ-Kit and everything should work. I will do my best to make the board perform well, but of course, no promises! But, make sure you have tried to test and align the board first. Include your observations of what works and what doesn't. I am not able to build boards :-) If you need help for making the completed DSP-10 work, one possibility is to post questions to this group. That should get some pretty good assistance. 73, Bob W7PUA Also, the web page is reasonably current: http://www.proaxis.com/~boblark/dsp10.htm Another also, remember that if you want to use a "new" computer with the "old" DSP-10, the live-CD Puppy Linux may be what you need. It is neat!! (also on the web page)
