Hi Don,

Sounds like a good plan. Just one quick thought, make sure there is a  
speaker or 'phones plugged in to the audio and run the audio gain up to 24  
or so. We just want to hear if there are any error beeps. Errors will also  
be displayed above the screen clock in the lower left part of the  
display.Look for E30, PLL Lock. I fall into this often when moving things  
around and neglecting to reconnect the external reference.

If the CD boots to DOS and you can display the directory, and move around  
the drives, it sure doesn't sound like a computer problem.
