[DSP-10] Moth balled DSP-10 has some troubles - ADDENDUM

Hello again Mike,

To answer your questions/comments...

TAPR Manual - that looks like the one I followed when building.

Transmit light - yes, normal operation

Sidetone - ***NO!*** - no sidetone heard. I tried "Scroll S" and it
does nothing that I can see, HOWEVER, I now get in lower left corner the
error message when doing the Scr S:
    "E1 DSP Data Lst"
followed by the line "STONE-"

+10 transmit - will check tomorrow anyway

Yes, have listened on another receiver -- sounds fine both CW and SSB.
(Way back in 2003 I made a 5 mile contact via SSB, but who knows, it may
have been with 1 mw power!)

KA7EXM power meter - yes, its readings correspond fairly well with diode
detector. I will try to verify also with a 2-meter FM transceiver
tomorrow (with 40 db tap).

Did we find something with the sidetone error message???

Also remember, I never did check actual power out when built 10 years
ago, only real transmit test (other than listening on local receiver)
was the SSB contact. When I feel more wide awake tomorrow morning, I'll
start checking the wiring of the ADSP box too. (unless you can spot the
problem now ;-)
