Hi All -
My brother Beb Larkin, the DSP-10 email reflector administrator, passed
away on February 19. Beb had been struggling with multiple illnesses
for some while. It is sad, and we will miss both Beb and hearing W7SLB
on the air. Beb had been very active in a number of elements of ham
radio with HF DX being his strongest interest. He had also distributed
boards for the DSP-10 project and also collected pictures and info on
DSP-10 builders and their radios. He had been a major contributor to
the project. When I shut down W7SLB his good looking DSP-10 was on and
running fine!
More info on Beb is available at
http://www.proaxis.com/~boblark/FAL_Obit_win.txt
Meanwhile, Jimmy W7CQ has kindly agreed to take over Beb's work as
administrator for this email reflector. Thanks Jimmy.
73, Bob W7PUA

DSP-10 users and friends
Beb Larkin - W7SLB, our DSP-10 reflector administrator, passed away
on February 19, 2012. He will be missed by all of us who got to know
him personally. He did a lot of work with his brother Bob W7PUA in
helping with the development of the DSP-10 and has managed this
DSP-10 reflector since startup.
As of today, March 8, 2012, I will be taking over the administration
of the DSP-10 reflector.
My name is Jimmy Oldaker
My call is W7CQ
Email is w7cq at teleport.com
I also have a DSP-10 web site with lots of DSP-10 information and
links to others
http://home.teleport.com/~oldaker/
with many pages of information. Feel free to check it out.
You can also contact me via :
http://mailman.qth.net/
Just follow the links to DSP-10 on the Directory of Lists and I am
listed at the bottom
<http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dsp-10>DSP-10 list run by
<mailto:dsp-10-owner at mailman.qth.net>W7CQ at teleport.com and this
will allow you to send an e-mail to me.
Because Beb was unable to manage the list for a short time before his
death there are a group of backup requests that I am working
through. Please give me a week to 10 days to get all this handled if
you have already submitted a request to Beb. If you need immediate
help contact me at w7cq at teleport.com (please put DSP-10 in the
subject line so I will be able to catch it right away in my daily
e-mail downloads).
I hope I can do as fine a job as Beb did for years. They are big
shoes to fill. I am honored to try and fill them.

It is always sad to see a close relative, fellow ham, or just one who
has done so much for us in the way of this discussion list and things
like the PCBs for the DSP-10. My condolences Bob.
