[DSP-10] Booting/loading on XP computer with CDrom

Thanks Mike for the hints and information. Also thanks to Joe WB8DNO
for sending me an iso file that I burned to CDrom and it works. I did
have to play games with the laptop to get a partition on the hard drive
that was FAT32 and compatible with DOS, since the main partition for XP
was NTFS.

I got things working up to the point of the program trying to send via
the serial port to the DSP-10. My ThinkPad T43 has no serial port, but
I have the port extender (a.k.a. docking station) which does have a
serial port. When booting in DOS, the serial port is not working.
Suspect possible faulty port in the extender as it does not work under
Linux either. And I'm not sure if they derive the serial port from USB
or not, which of course would require drivers under DOS. From what I
can see, there are no BIOS settings available for the serial port when
using the port extender.

I've temporarily given up using the T43, but ask if anyone on the list
has any experience trying to use a T43 or similar model of the Think Pad
for the DSP-10.

I also ask again if anyone has ever done anything with the DSP-10 using
Linux?
