[DSP-10] sequencing and control question

I'm using the DSP-10 to drive a 1296RSU followed by a DEMi 2330PAK
amplifier and have successfully made a few contacts on an 8 element
medium gain beam. The setup is not in its final configuration
though. I have to throw three switches to go from transmit to
receive. The three things are Amp/preamp switch, antenna switch, and
DSP-10 T/R. Clearly, for the "final" configuration, I want all this
switching to be automatic with PTT.
One way I was thinking of doing it would be to add outputs for control
and signal switching to the 1296RSU box itself. All the voltages I
need are already in there. This has the advantage that it puts all the
switching close to the item being switched and I could ultimately
remote all the 23 cm stuff nearer to the antenna. It has the
disadvantage that all those control wires coming out of the box would
be pretty good antennas at 1296 and the 1152 LO. Of course I could
fix that with standard use of µF bypass capacitors. It also has the
disadvantage that it makes it harder to be doing all this switch
controlling from the DSP-10 itself. It is a nice feature of the
DSP-10 that it can be a sequencer, but, I'd need software to make the
DSP-10 do it and I'm not yet to the point of modifying my own DSP-10
software.
Anyone here have any thoughts on this, examples of what you've done,
or other advice?
