I recently purchased a used Dell computer and thought I'd see if I could make this work.

Here's what I tried:

Hardware is DSP-10 with EZKit Lite and EPROM with UHF3.EXE
Windows box is a Dell Optiplex 650, Intel 2 GHz, standard "COM1" 9 pin connector.
MS Windows XP SP3

Files on a floppy in drive A:\

SENDDOLR.EXE
UHF3_33x.exe
UHFA.EXE
EGAVGA.BGI
UHFA.CFG
EZLD.COM
LOAD.BAT
EZLDGEN.BAT
UHFA_43A.RND
EZLD.SEQ
GNU_GPL.TXT

These two files appeared by magic ! EZLD.SEQ, EZLDGEN.BAT. I don't know how they
were generated. I started with a blank floppy, and I didn't put them there.

contents of batch file "LOAD.BAT"

SENDDOLR 1 15
PAUSE
EZLD 1 UHF3_33x.exe G
PAUSE
UHFA 1

--- All the commands are done in the XP "DOS" window.
--- I ran the batch file, (Type in LOAD, then hit ENTER). (SENDDOLR is needed to
--- wake up the monitor so EZLD can load the UHF3_33x). I added the pauses
--- so I could read any messages.
--- Everything went fine, except after loading pointers, I got the following error.

Error in obtaining dsp_ptr[37] <Validity check>.
 Read: A00 1F <1234 56 proper>
Filter design will not be available.
 Hit enter to continue

--- At this point I hit enter, and everything came to life.

That's all I have so far. More testing to follow.

Many thanks to Roger, KA7EXM for sharing his work.

I can see there is going to be a problem with the GPS time set, but that isn't
the end of the world ! It's really neat to see this run from XP without the DOSBOX emulator.
