Hi Bob,

I reproduced your receiver noise measurements and posted with  more 
commentary at (link deleted).

Sure enough, I'm seeing around 2.0 - 2.5 dB ripple there too with
peaks and troughs on the frequency scale that correspond to the
transmitter plot.  I've added references to your plot and the QST 
article for comparison

It is also interesting to compare my full band sweep to Figure 3.
