A similar circuit is used for the 19.68-MHz fixed-frequency second-conversion oscillator (see Figure 8). This synthesizer uses an active loop filter built around op amp U6. The reference frequency of 20 kHz, along with the relatively low operating frequency, results in a clean spectrum. Buffers U8 and U9 produce a +7-dBm output level.
