Hi Ron,
I hope you don't give up on your project. It is quite rewarding to
use.
These are the files you'll need to make the DSP-X work with the
hardware. Make sure you are using the 3A version of EZFAST.
http://www.proaxis.com/~boblark/ezfast3a.zip
http://www.proaxis.com/~boblark/uhfa317.zip
http://www.proaxis.com/~boblark/uhf3x_25.zip
The first two are the same for both 2181 and 2185 DSP, the last is
unique to the 2185 (DSP-X)
The DSP-X wants to see the data stream at 9600 baud, so we can write a
short batch file to load everything at once.
The batch file is:
---------------------------
ezfast L 1 UHF3x.EXE G
UHFA 1
---------------------------
This says run ezfast with an arguement of L (9600 baud) and 1 (com
port 1) and we will load uhf3x into the ram of the 2185 dsp chip.
Next we run UHFA with an arguement of 1 (com port) to load the UHFA
into the computer and we will use COM 1.
If you are using a different COM PORT, then change the 1 to the number
you need.
The commands can entered at the prompt, but at some point it is easier
to use a batch command file rather than manually entering the same
thing over and over.
Loading the DSP-X should take around 35 seconds at 9600 baud.
There are a few additional files that need to be present in the same
directory, and these are:
UHFA_43A.RND
GNU_GPL.TXT
EGAVGA.BGI
These are all contained in the UHFA317.zip download file.
I think that covers it... let me know how it goes..
