[DSP-10] RF Module Obsolete

Hi Paul and all,
I do not have any information on the 57732 availability. A phone call to
RF Parts might tell much.
If the 57732 is a problem, then as has been suggested, the RA08H1317
appears functionally ready to go, but not a drop-in. Issues would seem to be:
1- The PC board needs minor changes for the module pins spacings
2- The gate bias needs a set voltage, probably available with the present
circuit, plus a voltage divider to about 3.5 V.
3- Before getting a bunch of boards and parts, it would be very desirable
to see a prototype or two. This could probably be done with the present
PCB by borrowing the DC pad next to the RF input pad for RF Input. If
someone wanted to build up an amp or two, I would be happy to test them, if
that would be helpful.
4- The max spec on Vdd suggests that there could be problems over 13.2, and
this needs investigation.
To use the higher power amps, the circuit needs modification. Dave used a
separate relay, for instance. The power/VSWR sensing would also need
revisiting. There might be another minor issue, or two.
I use my brickette to drive a 10 to 160W Mirage. The J6 amp control is used
rather than RF sensing on the MIrage. It all works quite well , although
a lot of fun comes from working with the lower power.
