I tried using the 1V p-p out of my 10M locked reference and found
unreliable operation, so i fed it through a 74ls04 and now use the 5V
signal
As i got irritated having to take the ez-lite board out every time i
wanted to change the link to go from internal to external reference, i
used the remaining sections of the 04 to detect when 10MHz is being
supplied externally and do the switch over automatically using a small TO5
DPDT can relay, at the same time disabling the internal oscillator. Its a
small board that fits on the 3 pin oscillator plug under the ezlite
enclosure. I must get round to writing it up someday!
