[DSP-10] Java interface update

Hi folks,

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that I have not
forgotten about the Java interface for the DSP-10. It looks like school
is going to tie me down for a few more weeks, so I likely won't get a
chance to touch it until the term papers are done. Anyway, here is the
current status of the project:

1) The GUI is more-or-less complete, save for the spectral
data/waterfall stuff. That's something I will take care of later. It
looks like it will take an afternoon or two to implement that anyway,
but it doesn't look too hard.

2) The computer is talking to the radio via the serial port (at least
under WinXP), so the "hardware hurdle" has been traversed. The only
thing I have implemented so far is the mode-switching, but it works
reliably. I have written "dummy methods" for most of the other GUI
components, and now they are just waiting for code to tell them what to
send out the serial port when they are activated--in some cases this
isn't so trivial since I speak English and DSP chips don't. Anyway, the
scaffold is in place to tackle this one piece at a time.

All-in-all t looks like this will be a good project this summer. That's
probably not such a bad thing since the Music Theory department here is
keeping me busy with other computer projects, out of which filter ideas
for handling this one.
