[DSP-10] Starting Up My DSPx

Prior to running the UHFA program (the UHF "application,") you need to
download the DSP binary to the DSP-10. This is probably done by calling
the EZFAST program. Check Bob's website for instructions, and a link to
EZFAST.

After that completes, UHFA can be invoked.

All of this works best if you invoke it from the same directory as the
table files, etc., all that came with the distribution.

Note also that the PC functions best if you have not invoked Windows.
Windows (even '98) will intercept the serial port interrupt, and slow
down the interface back to the DOS window. After running Windows, you
can call Start->shutdown (or however it was back then), and instead of
selecting shutdown or restart, choose "re-boot with a DOS box." This
will reboot the computer, but it will skip invoking windows.

(If you are in this mode and want to move forward to windows, I believe
you can type 'exit' and it will end the DOS session and mount windows
for you).

I hope this helps you out.

Subject: [DSP-10] Starting Up My DSPx

Well I've messed about for about for hours and have got a new win/98
install up and running. What should I read that contains the basic steps

in getting started with a DSP/x running just as a DSP with the DSP-10
software?

I've tried running "uhfa 1" but its responds that it could not locate
the dsp table. What is the first thing that I should be doing?

Regards. Paul
