I may have missed a message thread, but I am assuming that you have mounted
the DSP daughter board onto the carrier you built and applied the necessary
power? The "greeting" comes from the DSP card, not the interface board
itself. The DSP is preassembled and tested, with the EEPROM on-board. The
message comes from this processor and firmware; the carrier is just an
application specific interface to the outside world.

Yes, I have verified that my cable is correct. I shorted the pin 2 and 3
together, and could see the characters i typed echoed back to the HyperTerm.
But I just couldn't see the sign-on message "!!! KK7P DSP Module Version
1.0 Rev C.1 !!!".
Can I really see the message on the HyperTerm by just powering up the board?
Or are there some other steps that I need to do?
