[DSP-10] EMI suppression

I am curious about the suppression of noise from the DSP-10. In the =
TAPR kit I have 10 ferrite beads which I believe are used on the 4 coax =
cables and the power supply lead indicated in Fig 11 of the Oct 1999 =
article. However the photographs of the boxed EZ-Kit Lite board (page =
34 October 1999) and boxed main board (page 42 November 1999) seem to =
show many more ferrite beads. For example the is a large diameter bead =
around the wires to the Acc Din connector and also several about the =
shielded cables going to the DB9 connector. There also seem to be some =
on the wires to P108 and possibly elsewhere. Are these needed and what =
ferrites are recommended?

Sorry if I am rehashing old stuff. I had a look through the archives =
and did not see any specific discussion.

many thanks

Gerry Morgan, EI2CH
