Hello All,
Version 3.00 of DSP-10 2-meter Transceiver PC program (UHFA.EXE) is now
available for downloading.
MAJOR CHANGES
*A flexible automatic transmit/receive system has been added, called "Beacon
operation." This allows one, two or more stations to make automated
propagation measurements
*Automatic data saving is available with Beacon operation.
*There are 10 pre-canned messages for CW.
*Screen saves to the .BMP format have been added. Comment messages can be added.
*Programmable control of frequency and audio volume comes from the cursor
keys; this is close to a tuning knob! You can also now enter frequency
directly from the keyboard.
*A microphone equalizer for transmit audio has been added, with graphical
display of the actual response. This is designed in the PC and then
downloaded to the transmit filter in the DSP.
*Complete audio processor functionality, including all modes and "transmit"
is available.
*A calibrated signal-plus-noise generator is available for local testing and
experimentation.
Additionally, a number of minor additions have been made, known bugs have
been fixed, and refinements have been made to PUA43 operation. A detailed
listing of the Version 3 changes is linked from the same web page as the
program download:

This same web site is a good place to start if you are unfamiliar with the
project and would like to see more!
This update is an example of the flexibility of a Software Defined Radio.
The personality of the transceiver continues to evolve with modification
made by program updates. This is all "Free Software," under GNU General
Purpose License, to encourage others to use or change the programs.
NEW USER's MANUAL - Mike Reed, KD7TS, and I have redone the old notes into a
single manual that is up-to-date, including Version 3 additions. It is in
HTML format, and can be used either over the Internet, or downloaded in zip
form to be loaded on your computer and read by your browser. Hyperlinks
allow the various sections to be easily found and accessed. We think this
makes explanations of the radio's features much more accessible. The manual
is available at

PART KITS - Part kits for the DSP-10 are once more available, from TAPR. For
more information see
http://www.tapr.org/tapr/html/Fdsp10.html
Many thanks to all the hard working volunteers at TAPR for putting the kits
together and making these available. Be aware that quantities of kits are
limited.
Thanks to the many individuals that have contributed to the project,
especially KD7TS, W7LHL, W7SZ, and W7SLB for all the testing that has
supported this new release.
