Lyle:

On behalf of the group, congratulations on your accomplishment! This is
fantastic news.

I am curious what you chose for the audio interface. I forget all the
numbers, but I understand the codec on the EZKIT-LITE is no longer
available. What substitute did you choose, and have you experimented with
different drivers yet?

Best Regards,

Subject: [DSP-10] EZ Lite Substitute

Hello!

Just to let you know that my project to make a subsititute for the EZ Kit
Lite available for the DSP-10 is nearing completion.

The DSP Module is up and running in its second incarnation. The (final?)
version PCB is due to ship to me today. 80 MHz/MIPS, 3.3V @ 65 mA, 1.8" x
2.0", uses ADSP-2185N so it is code compatible, and the same internal memory
size, as the ADSP-2181 used in the EZ Kit Lite. It is currently running a
compatibel monitor, so the upload program you use with the EZ Kit also works
with this module.

The adapter board for it to interface to the DSP-10 is in fabrication and
due to ship Monday, 10 March. This changes the 3V DSP lines to 5V levels,
adds the RS232 translator, power supply, etc.

The prototype for the adapter measures 3.0 x 4.5. I could make it a little
smaller, but the EZ Kit Lite is 42% larger, measuring 3.5 x 5.5.

I hope to have an updated website showing all this in the next two weeks.

Thanks for the bandwidth!

73,

Lyle KK7P
